Archer Build

An archer is a ranged damage dealer using slings, bow, and crossbows.


Attributes:

Dex - This is your main stat, should be the highest.

Str - This is your secondary stat, needed to equip weapons and armor.

Vit - This increases your HP and HP recovery rate, some people put into it to survive easier.

Mag - This is useless for an archer.


Builds:

Pure Dex: This is the best build if you can afford it and live. Later on when getting equips with str boosts on them you may not need to add str for some levels or at all.

4 Dex 1 Str every level

Hybrid: This is the most common build, the easiest. Adding some Vit so you are better able to survive. Most people that use this build cap their Vit low, from 20-40. Personally I recommend 20 or less as you are ranged and shouldn't get hit much.

3 Dex, 1 Str, 1 Vit every level
OR
7 Dex, 2 Str, 1 Vit every two levels


Skills:

Arrow Tree:

Blazing Arrow - Max this early, adds attack and fire attribute to attacks.

Frost Arrow - Max this early, adds attack and ice attribute to attacks.

Vicious Arrow - Only really worth one point unless you like the skill.

Serrated Arrow - Also only one point unless you like it.

Sharpened Tooth Arrow - Max this slowly when you have extra points.


Metal Tree:

Lightning Strike - Max this eventually when you have extra points.

Thunder Shock - One point or max, it's your choice.

Thunderous Blast - Another one or max again your choice.

Stormrage Eagleon - Avoid leveling, optional.


Attack Tree:

Take Aim - One is enough for a long time, level later on with spare points.

Quickshot - Just one point.

Knockback Arrow - Only one point.

Stunning Arrow - Max, this stuns the target.

Deadly Shot - Most leave it at one, high cost.

Barrage of Arrows - AoE attack, very costly. Usually left at level one.


Support Tree:

Winged Shell - Max this, absorbs damage and regenerates MP.

Winged Pledge - Probably just one point, melee attack.

Wingspan - AoE with knockback, optional.

Wings of Grace - Only has one level, very nice but only lasts 15 seconds.

Wings of Protection - Increase evasion and movement, max slowly when you have extra points.

Bow Mastery - Works with all ranged weapons, max asap.

Winged Blessing - Increases range, max asap.


Other:

Blessing of the Condor - Short, but nice buff. Put into if you wish.

Elven Alacrity - Another short but nice buff, optional.

Blood Vow - Deadly attack, again optional.

Awaken - Uses all of your mana to recharge your spark instantly. Optional.


Most of the archer skills are optional as they're attacks and it's personal preference. Try out your skills before putting extra points into them early on.

You can't fly and swim as an archer?

It's like the Legend of Zelda.

As a Psych, I can cross every barrier that is in the game.. Either jump or swim underwater..

Silly game. Magicians can't jump!

Archers and Clerics are of the Elven race and get wings at level 1.
Other classes get their "wings" at level 30. I'm unsure what other classes use, but I know that BladeMasters fly on top of a sword. I think each race/class is different.

All classes can swim.

I can swim faster than other classes =)

Demon Archer vs Sage Archer (hidden stuff that is not listed in the skill descriptions)

*Demon Archer receives a boost of additional 1% crit hit rate when equipping Natural Elf Wings (the white lvl 1 wing one).. It is mentioned in Ecatomb but not very clear..
Wings of Winged Elves = Natural Elf Wings
*Sage Archer's Wingspan only gives 50 chi instead of 100 chi (not sure if this is a glitch or an actual silent nerf)
