For First job: I do fire thing on my mech before the drill one.. I find it slow training, drill is way better to max before fire..

I hated spamming Drill to hit mobs. But I guess it doesn't matter since 1-30 is like lol4hours.

I found that fire is faster firing but comparing with drill damage, fire doesnt cut up the drill.. Drill is faster killing eventhough your char goes from one edge to the other map side..

It doesn't say to max Flame Launcher before Drillhands!

The choice of flame launcher/drillhands, not really a choice.. I was doing flame launcher first and it was a total disaster damage.. It has to be drill before flame.. No other choice.. Unless of course, you wanna enjoy being first job longer than any other mechs..

I did Flame first. 1-30 was still lol4hours =O

It's personal choice, Chris loved Flame Thrower. ;o

Love a skill doesn't mean the skill is gonna be good for training.. I love the animation of hamstring, it's pretty.. Does that mean I should put point(s) in hamstring just so I can look at it? No. Even if I put 1 point in hamstring, that means I sacrifice 1 point that I can put in other skills.

I agree Flame Launcher is mostly a lol skill (and is why Heavy Weapons is maxed later in 2nd job), but First Job went so fast I didn't really notice =P

It's nice for mobs of monsters that you have a high miss rate on though, since the burn DoT is independent of hit rate.

But why would you train on high miss rate monster? I wouldn't go train on monsters that 3 or more above my level.. The misses are just too much and you can see the effect of your %/hr..

Burn DoT damage isn't particularly interesting.. I don't really into DoT damage and stuff.. I find them totally useless compared to the actual damage of the skill itself.. Exception would be venom/venomous star/venomous stab (simple way: venom, 4th job thief skill).. Because venom is an independent skill (passive effect), 4th job skill - requires mastery book to max the skill, nexon made it somehow doing nice damage as a DoT based damage.. I'm not sure about the percentage of damage, but it does about 4 times of inferno/flamethrower DoT damage..

I'd go to monsters that were 5-8 levels higher than me instead of 1-3. The miss rate was much higher, but everything was OHKO when it did hit.

That is, up until I went to Twisted Jesters at 65. It took me 3-4 Atomic Hammer to kill them at that level so I did Flame > Drill > Hammer. Having them take 2.5k damage per second while I rushed the floor platform was kinda nice for me. It was better than Robo (Toy Apparatus Room) for me at that level.

It's a lol skill nevertheless (it doesn't even burn bosses!).

How about flame gear damage? Might be useful for future UA and mages who interested in getting them..

Oh I forgot about Cygnus and Battle Mage skills.
