Lists of questions:
1) Is there anyway I can store items? My inventory getting clogged up..
2) What is Genie? Some kind of a pet butterfly or something? Why mine have such a high dex when I need mag?
3) I pick apothecracy (or w/e it is equal to herbalism in MS), is it good? Cause I wiki guide it and the guy who make the guide says that I should get it.
4) How do I dodge in this game? I jump and backflip and w/e I do to avoid but it never works..
5) How do I get armors and weapons? Only through quest or is there anyway I can hunt/craft for them?
6) How do I view the available quests (the one you got when you level up, the box in the middle of the screen).. I can't seem to find the shortkey for it.. and no, its not Q because I press Q and couldn't find it anywhere..
7) Where is DivineMyst and Jazberry? Login and accept my friend's request please Smile
Soloing in this game is too boring.. I just need a filler up game when Vindictus is down..

1) You can store items at the Banker in most towns. In the top right by the mini map, there's a bunch of buttons, hover over them until you find Coordinates Assistant. This is a life saver. Click on that and you should be able to find Banker on the list, double click it and it moves to the other category and then double click it again. It will automatically move you to the Banker, although you may need to jump or move a little to get around obstacles since it take you directly to them... straight point... as if you can walk through walls, people and such. Sometimes you have to go back and double click on it again because it can get canceled it you are stuck somewhere.

2) The Genie you get right away is random, it's not class based and thus has different stats. They kind of suck in my opinion but later on they help you? They have an attack if you see under the picture there is a little icon, click it and they will attack the monster you are attacking or buff you depending on what you have. I think it's just pretty for now and later when I know more of what I'm doing I'll probably one that fits my class.

3) You can learn all of the skills, you need an axe, or pickaxe... unsure, but it's sold at all Merchants. You do a quest for each skill then go back to the Elder to get it at level one. I haven't done much with it after that, but you need materials (abbreviated mats in this game) to make new weapons and armor.

4) You can't dodge, it's based on your evasion which for most mage classes is pretty low. Upgrading your cape can help with evasion, but I prefer just upgrading my equips/defenses.

5) Blacksmith has weapons, I believe Tailors have clothes, there's different merchants which carry different things you can't buy all equips and weapons at the same place. Quests and drops give equips for early game, once you hit 20 ish there starts to be dungeons which you need a squad/party for and in there you can get better equips and molds, which are used with materials to make weapons and armor.

6) I never actually cared about it since you should be able to find it all in the encyclopedia, again it's a button up by the mini map.

7) I've been busy, also I've made characters of like almost every class to try them out. I think you can only get a friend request when the other person is online, which limits people a lot. And yes, soloing the game is boring. But I should be playing again soon.

My other igns are FatalMyst (assassin), ValkyrieMyst (archer), ValiantMyst (BladeMaster) and some others which I don't remember.

Oh and also, if you have trouble finding an NPC for a quest or a monster, if they are blue you can double click them and they will take you to the NPC or monster, but they again go the shortest path which is usually through obstacles which you cannot go through and thus you must jump or guide your character around them as fast as possible so that the action isn't canceled and you must re-click on the NPC's name or Monster's name in your quest menu.

It also seems that you tend to put at least one skill point in almost all of the skills to continue down the skill tree.

Refuse to play Nexon games until I get back my Evie unscratched..

@ Mel:
1) Yeah, I finally find out how to craft armors/repair armors/buy pots/buy items and etc.. I just store out some light armor lol.. I think light armor in this game looks closer to real life armor (arcane armor is too ugly imo).. But as a psych, still had to stick with arcane for damage..

2) My Genie is green (longevity, dex based).. Have +15 dex, +5 str, +5 vit, and +3 mag (rofl).. Have crappy ground fist skill (I think it's a melee skill, I try it out from range and it doesn't hit anything).. Currently at level 8 and I don't put any stats on it cause I don't know what stats to max..

3) Got almost all expertise skills, except for tailor.. Had to find 2 logs which I don't know from where..

4) Blah, no dodge? Even MapleStory has a little bit of dodging skill (points to FJ, tele).. Most of the time, I got hit anyways and losing quite a couple of hp..

More questions:

1) How many characters can you create in one account? Since this game has no dodge, I might actually try out melee classes.. Seems they are more favorable at higher level dungeons (keep seeing that BM and barb needed for FC on world chat)..

Well you can get extra Dex and Vit from belts, pendants, rings... so that maybe you can wear light armor.

I've made 8 characters so far... and it's still letting me make a character... I'm assuming 10?

And yeah, Cleric and Barb are the heart of every party after that it's attackers and BM are the strongest melee attacker.

Oh and I just read that sometimes Venos can do the same as Barbs? Seems to be a lot of controversy over it though.

Veno has terrible hp (more terrible than archer if you check the website).. Veno is magical based so they rely alot on their pets basically.. Maybe you can use the pet to lure boss or so, but as a tanker veno? I doubt it, they gonna get 1-2 shotted at high levels..

Yeah, it's the pet that's the tanker. BMs and Seekers can sometimes be tankers also, but it's difficult for any class other than Barb to be a good tanker.

This isn't MapleStory, this is Perfect World International.

@ Mel: for any mages to use light armor that means, they sacrifice damage for more defense.. I honestly feel that unless you are a healer, it's completely useless to do light armor.. Mages are meant to do magical damage, be a range damage dealer.. I don't know about any other mage class, but psych certainly not build for tank (they literally only have 1 healing skill, white voodoo is there as an opt if you're not familiar with the mobs or you are unsure whether you get one-shotted from boss or not)..

@Jane: I don't see the point for any mage type classes to have light armor build, takes away from stats. I feel it's completely useless for even a healer, because if you're a good healer... you never get hit. All you usually heal is the barb and sometimes a mage or archer that gets hits and LOL doesn't heal themselves. Kind of similar to maple actually. Heal the person doing the brunt of the work which is the barb making sure that the boss doesn't attack the other people.

That's cause DD (Damage Dealer) in this game draws so much aggro.. Even cleric can draws aggro with heal if s/he isn't played properly.. I've read in the forum (pwi forum) that it is best for a cleric to stand as much distance as possible from the barb, but within the range of heal.. For DD, please don't attack mobs that aren't aggroed by barbs.. You just suicide ;o

Light armor might be a choice for a lurer veno, which makes sense anyways since they're gonna lure..

Psych can also do light armor build but with the cost of very low magic attack. Obviously, arcane gives more mag plus white voodoo significantly boost defense but also significantly lower the magic attack. At times, a tank psych can substitute a cleric if a cleric fked up and died (note: only mystic and cleric have revive skills, other mages DO NOT have revive skill). Although, psych only has 1 healing skill with the cost of huge mp.. I don't know how good they are being a tanker.. Cleric is a better choice all around..

The only way a cleric can draw aggro is if s/he heals near the boss before the barb aggros the boss. And yeah, a good squad is comprised of a cleric, a barb, and damage dealers... some people take a wizard in to kill off mobs before the boss with AoE skills if you don't wine. Other than that main damage dealers are almost always blademasters. They're the highest damage and lowest risk to die. Seekers are good also as they don't get hurt much in the off chance they do draw aggro and archers are ranged enough that if they draw aggro, one of the melee can just draw it back.

I'm not even sure if Psych is wanted in any party.. Psych are nukers with lowest defense (with Black Voodoo on, it is the lowest defense in this game).. Don't even ask about AoE skills, cause I don't even have one as of now.. I'm terribly bad at taking out mobs (that's why I died in bone fish).. The advantage of Psych is that they can deal more damage than wizzy due to faster channeling (no, not a faster attack speed, mage doesn't have attack speed, they don't whack).. Also, Psych can be a backup healer (although not as good as cleric, but in case of worst case scenario of cleric dies, then psych has to move forward helping the barbs out)..

Also, meet a friend who apparently played PWI for 3 years.. Found the answer of why physical classes shines here:

1) As I stated above, mage DOES NOT have attack speed (aka whacking your weapon).. attack speed does nothing other than faster whacking weapons.. As a mage, we never whack our weapons.. It's just such a terrible damage, better just off using your magic..
Mage does have channeling speed (it's the bar that loading in the middle of the screen).. Psychic has the fastest channeling speed, wizard has the slowest channeling speed..

2) All physical attackers relies on attack speed, which can be improved throughout the game.. What attack speed does is you can literally do five attacking skills in 1 second, making them wanted in a party.. They do better dps overall than all mages because of attacking speed.. He also says that assasin can take out 2 mil hp within 1 minute, which is a lot.. Do note: archer is also affected by attack speed.. It's the rate of how many arrows they can shoot within certain period of time..

Since day one I play this game, I realize that melee would've been much better in this game.. This game doesn't have dodging moves/skills, plus you have cleric as healbot so no worries.. The downside is that physical classes tend to be expensive especially since barbs, BMs, and seekers share same weapons.. Also heavy armor cost a lot more to repair.. Mages are generally cheap, except for cleric who are the most popular mages in this game..

Physical classes are pretty much always better end-game DPS in any RPG. It's also pretty much always because attack speed is faster than cast speed.

Seems to me to be about the same as maple if you have the graphics on the lowest setting. It's still pretty... well pretty to me.
