New Content
Monster Park

* Requirement: Lv.13 or higher
* Monster Park is a new party play area.
* Party play areas give bonus experience when defeating enemies in parties of 2-6.
* Monster Park features stronger versions of existing enemies.
* You must form a party of at least one to enter the dungeons.
* The party leader must choose which dungeon to enter.
* You can go to Monster Park through the Monster Park Shuttle NPC in most towns.
* There are three sets of dungeons. Which one you can enter is based on your level:
Lv.13-69 - Beginner Dungeons - requires Zebra Stripe Ticket
Lv.70-119 - Intermediate Dungeons - requires Leopard Stripe Ticket
Lv.120+ - Advanced Dungeons - requires Tiger Stripe Ticket
* Each set has individual dungeons divided by the level of the enemies in them.
* A ticket is used up when you enter a dungeon.
* You can purchase up to three tickets per day from NPC Mary, and you can exchange 20 ticket pieces for full tickets with her as well.
* Ticket pieces can be collected from monster drops throughout most of Maple World.
* Enemies in Monster Park have a higher drop rate for items and Potential equipment than enemies outside of Monster Park.
* Enemies in the Monster Park drop Commemorative Coins that can be used to purchase new Spiegelmann related items.
* 2 new Monster Park-only boss monsters have been added:

* Who is Spieglemann?!?: You can access the mission by finding the Old Picture item after double-clicking the the Old Envelope, which can be found while hunting in Monster Park. Reward: Monster Park Commemorative Coin.
* Spiegelmann and Horntail?: You can access the mission by finding the Memories with Horntail item after double-clicking the Old Envelope, which can be found while hunting in Monster Park. Reward: Monster Park Commemorative Coin.

Traveling between regions by using an Airplane

* You will be able to use your own Airplane mount skill to move between regions without waiting for the Airship to arrive. Talk to an NPC used to board an airship.
* You will be able to select between the Wooden Airplane and the Red Airplane if you have learned both skills.
* You will not have to wait for the airship to depart when you use your Airplane mount skill to move between regions, and Red Airplanes will arrive 2 minutes earlier than the airship would have.

Sky High

* Requirement: Lv.13 or higher
* Accept the quest from the Maple Admin. It will appear in your light bulb notifications.
* Go see Instructor Irvin at a ship station or airport (Victoria Island, Ereve, Orbis, Ludibrium, Ariant, Mu Lung, Edelstein, and Leafre).
* You will receive a Wooden Airplane 3-Day Coupon upon completing the quest.
* You will be able to use the Wooden Airplane for three days after using the coupon.


Treasure Monsters

* Treasure Monsters will occasionally spawn in normal maps.
* Treasure Monsters have the same appearance and stats as regular monsters, but they have a unique name tag that's easily recognizable.
* Better-than-average rewards will drop when Treasure Mobs are slain.
* All Treasure Monsters can drop valuable items such as advanced scrolls and Trait items.
* Treasure Monsters below Lv. 120 drop Spiegelmann's Monster Park Entry Tickets at 100% chance.
* Treasure Monsters Lv. 120 or above drop Mystery Mastery Book at 100% chance.


Event List

* A new Event Info menu has been created to show you all the events that are currently taking place in MapleStory.
* You can see which events are active, how long they run, and what rewards they will give.
* Select Menu then Event at the bottom of the screen to open the Event List.
* The shortcut key for the Event Info menu is set to the V key by default.
* Events will be listed on more than one row in the menu if there are more than four rewards to display.
* Hover over the rewards displayed to see a description of them.
* The One-Stop Event Info quest can be accepted starting at Lv.13. This quest explains the Event List.

SP Reset Scroll Giveaway

* During the Event Period, when characters of a main job class being rebalanced log in, 1 SP Reset Scroll will be given. Using this scroll will return all used 1st job and higher SP to you to be assigned again.
* Who the item is provided to: Explorer Warrior/Magician/Bowman, Cygnus Knight Dawn Warrior/Blaze Wizard/Wind Archer
* The item will be placed in the USE tab of your item inventory. If there is no empty space in that tab, it will be given after you make a slot available and log out then in again with that character.
* The SP Reset Scroll expires after one week.


Elite Warrior/Magician/Bowman Blessing

* Special mastery books will be issued to 3rd and 4th job Explorer Warriors, Magicians, and Bowmen.
* You will receive a light bulb notification if you meet the requirement.
* You can choose one of five 100% Mastery Books specific to your job (these expire after 30 days), or you can choose a Mystery Mastery Book (no expiration).
* A 100% Mastery books will raise its respective skill's Master Level to 30 if the skill's Current Level is 5+.


Warrior/Magician/Bowman 1st Job Advancement Event

* 09.28.2011 – 10.26.2011
* When an Explorer Warrior/Bowman/Magician makes the 1st Job advancement during the event period, the quest begins automatically.
* You will receive one Lv. 10 equipment Box, 1 Lv. 20 Equipment Box, 1 Lv. 25 Equipment Box, and 1 ring.
* When the equipment box is double-clicked, 1 hat, 1 gender-specific top, bottom, or overall, 1 pair of shoes, 1 pair of gloves (each random) are given based on the box's level.


Warrior/Magician/Bowman 2nd-4th Job Advancement Event

* When an Explorer Warrior/Bowman/Magician makes the 1st Job advancement during the event period, the quest begins automatically, and you will be able to receive a job-specific weapon scroll and a 1.5x EXP buff item.


Warrior/Magician/Bowman Level Up Event

* Requirement: Explorer Warrior/Magician/Bowman, Lv.120-195, 4th job
* Whenever a character that meets the requirements gains 5 levels, a job-specific weapon scroll and an EXP buff item can be received.

* Reward: The same as the Warrior/Magician/Bowman 2nd-4th Job Advancement Event


Explorer's Gratias Ring

* Newly created Explorers can accept the quest through a light bulb notification.
* During the event period, if a new Explorer character is created and reaches Lv.70 (any job), an Explorer's Gratias Ring can be received.
* An Explorer's Gratias Ring can be moved once through storage to another character in the same world on the same account.
* It becomes untradeable after it has been transfered once through storage.
* Stats: STR/DEX/INT/LUK +3, Weapon/Magic ATT +3, ACC/AVOID +20, Critical Rate +5%


Monster Park Event Quests

* Requirement: Lv.20 or higher
* Monster Park Invitation: A light bulb notification pops up once a day. When you accept the quest, you receive one entry ticket.
* Monster Mash: The quest becomes available through Spiegelmann after you receive one entry ticket from the Monster Park Invitation quest.
* Parameters and Reward: When you clear Monster Park 10 times, you receive Spiegelmann's Mustache: Weapon/Magic ATT: +5, Weapon/Magic DEF +100, 5 upgrade slots unhammered, 5 day time limit, untradeable.


Knights of Virtue

* 09.28.2011 – 10.19.2011
* Requirement: Lv. 15 or higher
* Click on the purple stone on the left side of the screen to read about and accept the quests.
* By accepting and auto-completing The Tale of the Knights of Virtue story quest from Cassandra, you receive a Stone of Virtue (Etc tab) and a Virtue's Apprentice title (Set-up tab).
* Accept the Best of the Knights of Virtue quest to receive a Chivalry Log to track your attendance (Etc tab).
* Characters of Lv. 50-70 who accept the Knights of Virtue quest will receive a special teleport rock.
* For some hunting grounds, when specific conditions are met, the event buff skill can be activated.
* Your attendance is marked by you activating the buff once a day. The final reward is given on the 10th day.
* Hunting in an area recommended for your level will fill up the gauge, and when gauge is full, a specfic buff can be activated for a set duration.
* When the character enters the map area for the skill gauge, a message saying that gauge can be filled is displayed.
* You can check recommended area for your level by selecting Stone of Virtue Field Info after clicking on the purple stone on the left side of the screen.
* Attendance rewards:
Knights of Virtue 3rd Day Participation: Pendant of the Spirit (2 day): Boosts EXP when equipped. The longer you wear it, the greater the effect becomes. 1 hr: 10% additional EXP, 2 hr: 20% additional EXP, 2 hr+: 30% additional EXP
Knights of Virtue 4th Day Participation: Power Elixir: A legendary potion. Restores all HP and MP.

Eliminate Eregos

* Requirement: Lv.15 or higher
* The boss monster for the Knights of Virtue will randomly appear in an map that is recommended for your level by the Stone of Virtue.
* You will receive an Evil Spirit Box by defeating the boss.
* You will receive random rewards from a list when you open the box, when can include regular scrolls, Potential scrolls, Equip Enhancement scrolls, Chaos Scrolls, or potions.
* The boss will appear between 10:00 AM – 12:00 AM Pacific (1:00 PM – 3:00 AM Eastern).


Evolving Belt

* 10.05.2011 – 11.01.2011
* Requirement: Lv.13 or higher
* Accept Gold Richie's The Latest Tech quest from your event notifications on the left side of the screen and receive Marble That Evolves Into A Belt After 30 Minutes.
* Wait 30 minutes without logging out or disconnecting to obtain an Evolving Belt [Lvl 1].
* Complete the quest by going to Gold Richie to receive the Dr. Kim's Advice quest.
* Hold on to the Mysterious Gem that you received from accepting Dr. Kim's quest for 1 hour to obtain an Evolving Belt Upgrade Capsule.
* You must repeat this quest for seven days during the even period in order to obtain the permanent Evolving Belt [Final].

* Accept the quest from NPC Gaga, who is in most towns.
* Collect Sliced Fruit, Shredded Ice, and Sweet Syrup from monster drops and bring them to Gaga to receive a Special Fruit Sundae.
* Each time the quest is completed, EXP based on your level is rewarded.
* If one Special Fruit Sundae is made during a day, it counts as an attendance for that day (you can create more than one each day, but attendance counts only once per day).
* Gaga will give you a stamp and a reward all 8 days of the event.
* You can check your attendance by double-clicking the Secret Heat-Beating Recipe in the Etc tab of your item inventory.
* Rewards:

UI
Skill Inventory

* Mount skills have been moved from the first tab in your skill inventory to a Mount tab in your Character Info menu.
* The Mount tab in the Character Info menu is divided into Mount Skill and Tamed Mob.
* Guild Skill and Mount buttons have been added to the bottom of the skill inventory menu for quick access.
* Upon clicking Guild Skill, the Guild Skill tab on the Guild window will be opened.
* Upon clicking Mount, the Mount tab on the Character Info window will be opened.

Minimap

* NPCs now have distinct icons depending on their function.
* Storage Keeper, Merchants, and event NPCs will each be displayed in different colored or shaped icons.
* Different colored icons will be displayed depending on whether the quest fits your level or not.
* If an NPC does not have a quest that fits your level, the available quest icon will be shown in gray.
* When moving your mouse over NPC minimap icons, the NPCs' name and their functions will be displayed.
* A system has been added where the size of the minimap in towns and certain maps will automatically be maximized.

Notifications

* Quest notifications that appeared above your character's head have moved to the left side of the screen.
* Different icons will be shown for different notifications.
* Quests and events now have different icons (a light bulb and a star, respectively).
* Other independent categories now have their own unique icon.

Medals

* The Medal menu has been revamped and most medals can now be reissued.
* Certain Medals may not be reissued.
* You must pay a fee to have a Medal reissued. Depending on how many times the Medal was reissued, the fee will differ.

Party Search

* Party matching system has been revamped.
* Party member search function has been fixed.
* Party search function has been added.

World Map

* Lion King's Castle: A world map has been added.
* Gate to the Future: A world map has been added.

AP/SP notifications

* If there are unused AP/SP after leveling-up, a notification will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.
* You can click on the notification to open the status window or skill window.
* As long as there are available AP/SP, the notification will remain.
* However, SP notification will stop being shown starting Lv. 70.

Item Pot notifications

* If the status of the Item Pot creature changes, two types of notifications will be displayed at the left of the screen.
* If the Item Pot creature is sick, hungry, dry, or has woken up from sleep, a red exclamation point will be displayed.
* If the Item Pot creature is fully grown and can provide a reward, a shiny notification will be shown.
* Clicking on the notification at the left of the screen automatically opens up the Item Pot window.

Other

* EXP gauge image has been modified.


Party Quests

* A recommended level system has been added to PQs. With this addition, the level requirement for the following nine PQs have been modified.
Moon Bunny's Rice Cake: Lv.20-69 recommended
First Time Together: Lv.20-69 recommended
Dimensional Crack: Lv.20-69 recommended
Forest of Poison Haze: Lv.70-119 recommended
Remnant of the Goddess: Lv.70-119 recommended
Romeo and Juliet: Lv.70-119 recommended
Lord Pirate: Lv.70-119 recommended
Resurrection of the Hoblin King: Lv.120+ recommended
Dragon Rider: Lv.120+ recommended
* The progression methods of the listed PQs have been revamped.
* A system has been added where the party members' average level determines the non-boss monsters' stats and EXP (however, it will not exceed the PQ's maximum recommended level).
* A system has been added where the amount of EXP received upon clearing the PQ is based on the average level of the party members (however, a party member whose level is lower than the average party level by 20 or more will not obtain all of the Clear EXP).
* PQ rewards have been revamped overall, most involving turning in a number of items that can be collected during the PQ.

Wedding Revamp

* Numerous modifications have been made to weddings and the town of Amoria.

Map

* The town of Amoria has been redesigned. It is now smaller and is easier to get around.
* The wedding hall is a new map. It resembles the wedding hall in Mushroom Castle.
* The photo map has been changed to a map with a fountain and is decorated to look like the new wedding hall.

Procedure

* Purchase an engagement ring from Moony in Amoria.
* Moony still offers the similar types of rings as before: Moon Stone, Shining Star, Gold Heart, Silver Wing.
* The rings only cost mesos now. The requirements of collecting and turning in certain items have been removed.
* Engagement rings can be sold back to Moony before you finalize your engagement.
* Double-click the engagement ring and enter another player's name to propose to that player.
* Form a party with your fiance.
* Purchase the wedding coupon of your choice from the Cash Shop.
* Make a reservation with the appropriate wedding coordinator. At this point, you can make a gift wish list.
* Wedding invitations appear in the Etc section of your inventory. Double-click them to choose someone to send one to.
* For Cathedral weddings, the bride-to-be must then talk to High Priest John. The bride-to-be must then talk to Gary and Shatima to say lines of commitment . The bride-to be then must talk to High Priest John again.
* Depending on the type of wedding you're getting, talk to the wedding assistant or chapel staff and pay a fee to enter the wedding hall.
* Invited guests can talk to the wedding assistant to enter the wedding, or they can double-click the invitation in the Etc tab of their item inventory.
* Invited guests arrive in a map where they can gift items ot the bride and groom, buy bridesmaids' dresses or groomsmen's suits, or enter or leave the wedding.
* Talk to the assistant in the wedding hall to begin the wedding ceremony.
* When you are ready, speak to the photo specialist.
* After the timer ends in the photo map, the wedding process will end, unless you had a premium wedding. Parties in premium wedding go to a special hunting map.
* Married players can exchange their engagement rings for their wedding rings through Jacob.
* Married players can pay a meso fee to Moony in order to get an annullment.

Commitment Ceremonies

* Couples who have been married at least 30 days can have a commitment ceremony, after which they receive items.
* There are two types of commitment ceremonies: 30 day and 100 day.
* A Commitment Ceremony Ticket from the Cash Shop is needed to complete these ceremonies.

30 Day Commitment

* Requirements: Married character with spouse, character who has been married for 30 days, character who hasn't filed for divorce
* A letter from NPC Ames the Wise will be sent along with a silver heart-shape effect when 30 days pass after marriage.
* When you click on the letter, it notifies you that 30 days have passed since the marriage, and you are eligible to participate in the 30 Day Commitment Ceremony with your spouse. After accepting, you should visit Ames the Wise in Amoria.
* You need to purchase a Commitment Ceremony Coupon (sold in the Cash Shop), form a party with your spouse, and make a Commitment Ceremony reservation through NPC Victoria.
* After the reservation is made, you will be moved to a room when you talk to Assistant Nicole.
* Your wedding ring will change to a 30 Day Wedding Ring, and you will receive other items after the bride & groom sign all of the love commitments that are in the commitment room. The reward is given when you exchange rings from Jacob after the commitment ceremony.
* An NPC will warn you that the Commitment Ceremony Ticket reward will not be given if they divorce after making the Commitment Ceremony reservation. Reward: 30 Day Commitment Wedding Ring, 30 Day Love Chair (M, F), Heart Return Stones

100 Day Commitment

* Requirements: Married character with spouse, character who has been married for 100 days, character who hasn't filed for divorce, person who entered the 30 day commitment
* A letter from NPC Ames the Wise will be sent along with a golden heart-shape effect when 100 days pass after marriage.
* It progresses the same as the 30 day Commitment Ceremony.
* Your wedding ring will change into a Promised Wedding Ring and you will receive other items when you exchange rings from Jacob after the commitment ceremony.
* Reward: Love Rain (weather effect), Promised Wedding Ring, &ldr;333 effect, Couple T-shirt (Cash Item), Heart Return Stones

* Small Wedding Coupon
Have a small, intimate wedding in the Chapel with this ticket.
Both bride and groom can invite 5 guests each.
When the ceremony is complete, you will receive a 1 Carat Wedding Ring.
* Grand Wedding Coupon
Have a grand wedding in the Cathedral with this ticket.
Both bride and groom can invite 15 guests each.
When the ceremony is complete, you will receive a 2 Carat Wedding Ring.
* Premium Wedding Coupon
Have a royal wedding in the Cathedral with this ticket.
Both bride and groom can invite 30 guests each.
When the ceremony is complete, you will receive a 3 Carat Wedding Ring and can enjoy a premium hunting map.
* Commitment Ceremony Ticket
A ticket necessary to celebrate 30 days and 100 days commitment ceremonies.

* To prevent illicit actions using macro programs, when hunting monsters that have much lower levels, EXP obtained, mesos obtained and reward drop rates have been decreased.
* This system does not apply to the following monsters:
All monsters Lv. 150 or higher
Quest / event monsters
Boss monsters, Master Monster
Party-play-only monsters (Some of the monsters in Ellin Forest, Neo City, Lion King's Castle, Gate to the Future, and all monsters in Monster Park)
Monsters that need to be applied with different features
* The EXP penalty that took place uniformly upon death has been changed. The penalty received now depends on the character's level.
* The level requirement for entering Chryse and the quests therein have been changed from Lv. 55 - 70 to Lv. 50 -> 70.
* In the Mu Lung: Practice Field: Beginner map, you can now hang on a flagpole to rest.
* NPC Dr. Pepper in Omega Sector's Silo now sells Pet Food and Revitalizer.
* The Dimensional Mirror NPC's appearance has been changed.
